Tracking down soundtrack advice`

I never read much about the production end of a film's sound track on this board, so I did not think to ask. I know some music theory but need hands on advice with reguard to learning a Yamaha electric keyboard. or any tips for a beginner.
I can do a John Carpenter impersonation but that is about it.

The only advice I can give you is to call a music teacher or buy a book. Once you learn the keyboard, we can give you advice how to record it and add it to your video.
